The PA151 800-151-000-111 is a probe mounting bracket adapter specifically designed for use with the TQxxx series of eddy current displacement measurement chains/systems, primarily intended for hazardous areas such as potentially explosive atmospheres.

This adapter is primarily used for external mounting of inverted eddy current displacement sensors (such as the TQ912). Installation and removal are simple and convenient, allowing for sensor installation, air gap adjustment, and replacement without disassembling the mechanical equipment.

Furthermore, its modular design enables users to select different shaft lengths, thread specifications, and cable gland connectors based on specific application requirements, thereby providing flexible configuration options.

• Housing: Glass-fiber-reinforced polyester with a die-cast sealed construction
• Cable connector (F code): Made of nickel-plated brass, with a Viton (FPM) seal

The PA151 adapter is primarily designed for external mounting on equipment enclosures. When the equipment's design does not allow for the installation of TQxxx series sensors inside the enclosure, the PA151 adapter can be used to mount the sensor through the wall of the enclosure.

The adapter allows the distance between the sensor and the measurement target to be adjusted from the outside of the equipment, and the eddy current displacement sensor can be replaced externally without the need for downtime or disassembly.

The online monitoring system for a steam turbine at a thermal power plant required sensor replacement, but the unit was in continuous operation and could not be shut down. Taking advantage of the PA151's removable housing design, maintenance personnel successfully removed the old sensors and installed the new ones while the unit was still running. The system resumed operation immediately after maintenance, thereby avoiding power generation losses that would have resulted from a shutdown.
